Two in a row for Wiebes?
On Sunday, March 30th, we kick off the holy Flemish cycling week with Gent-Wevelgem In Flanders Fields. Lotte Kopecky joins forces with Lorena Wiebes and will face off against Elisa Balsamo, Elisa Longo Borghini, and Charlotte Kool.
Gent-Wevelgem In Flanders Fields is this season's first Flemish classic on Lotte Kopecky's calendar. The two-time world champion joins forces with Lorena Wiebes and Mischa Bredewold. With Elisa Balsamo (Lidl-Trek) and Chiara Consonni (Canyon//SRAM zondacrypto) also participating, the entire podium from last year will be present once again. The latter will be joined by Zoe Backstedt.
Floortje Mackaij, who won the classic 10 years ago, will defend the colours of Movistar Team alongside the talented Cat Ferguson. The winner of the 2024 Tour of Flanders, Longo Borghini (UAE Team ADQ), will also be part of the race, as well as Paternoster (Liv-AlUla-Jayco), and the duo Kool – Georgi (Team Picnic PostNL).
