Kemmelberg as the deciding obstacle in the virtual version of Gent-Wevelgem
The second virtual spring classic in the Proximus Cycling eSeries League is Gent-Wevelgem. Participants can look forward to a tough race, with several climbs from this road race.
On Thursday 12 January, the circuit of this year’s virtual Gent-Wevelgem includes Baneberg, Monteberg and Kemmelberg. The men complete a 14.8-km course, with 261 vertical metres. The women face 12.14 kilometres, with 187 vertical metres. The men’s race kicks off at 7.45 p.m., while the women start at 8.20 p.m.
Jesse Vandenbulcke will be in the studio to provide live commentary. The Human Powered Health rider has already participated in Gent-Wevelgem four times and knows the region inside and out: her best performance to date in this spring classic was an eleventh place in 2019.
